Georgian Diamond & Enamel Giardinetti Ring Size:6.75 Striking 1930s Art Deco engagementDATE: Georgian, c. 1780 A gorgeous French giardinetti (or flower basket) ring, dating from the Georgian period, circa 1780. The forget me not flower and leaves are set with tiny rose cut diamonds over a blue enamel background, and framed within a halo of rose cuts. The band is slim and is crafted in 14k gold throughout. Antique jewellery often includes floral motifs, as part of their "Language of Flowers". It had a major impact upon Victorian society,
